Spotify is finally getting Siri support with iOS 13
Spotify is testing this new beta featureWhile this new feature lets you request Spotify songs with Siri on an iPhone, it does not currently work on an Apple Watch as Apple’s wearable doesn’t have a dedicated Spotify app. Instead, it’s simply a controller for playing songs on other Spotify-enabled devices. Siri simply responds with “I’m sorry, I can’t do that on your Apple Watch” when you try. We haven’t been able to test whether the HomePod now works with Spotify as a result, but it’s unlikely.

Spotify has announced that it will host its own awards show, called the Spotify Awards, that will provide "a true reflection of what fans are listening to," the company wrote. The event will be broadcast live on Turner Latin America from Mexico City, which Spotify described as the streaming capital of the world, ahead of even New York City, London and Paris.

Spotify said the awards would be determined strictly by user-generated data, regardless of genre. "Your plays, patterns, and habits will help determine the award categories, finalists, and winners," it said. "You can get excited for an awards ceremony that actually speaks to what the people are streaming."
Spotify released a promotion video in Spanish only, and the awards appear to be focused solely on the Latin America market, but it didn't release any other details. They'll be "broadcast live on TNT for all of Spanish speaking Latin America" on March 5th, Spotify said.

Spotify will give you podcast recommendations in a daily playlist .
Spotify's push into the world of podcasts is paying off, with the service seeing what it describes as "exponential growth in podcast hours streamed" this year. The company doesn't want listeners to run out of podcast material though, so it's introducing a new recommendation feature called Your Daily Podcasts to help them discover new shows. Similar to the algorithmically-generated Discover Weekly and Daily Mix music playlists, Your Daily Podcasts is a regularly refreshed list of recommended podcast episodes, based on previous listening habits.
