Technology Could an iPhone with the largest screen ever be on the way?
This is the stunning iPhone 12 of our dreams, but it’s too good to be true
Apple's new iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max were just released a couple of weeks ago, so isn't it far too soon to be talking about next year's iPhone 12? Well, if you're really asking yourself that question then you don't know anything at all about how the rumor mill works. Apple obviously starts working with its supply chain partners on future iPhone models more than a year before they're finally released. And if Apple is working on something with its supply chain partners, then you can bet that the world’s top Apple insider knows about it.
When it comes to new iPhones, Apple may be going big – really big. Think 6.7-inch screen big.
That's just one of the choices iPhones buyers might have available to them come the fall of 2020, if an article published Wednesday fromand spotted by CNBC prove to be true. , which pinned its report on unnamed industry sources, also suggested that there would be new iPhones with screen sizes of 5.4-inches and 6.1-inches.
Kuo: iPhone SE2 will look like an iPhone 8 and arrive early 2020
Apple may be working on a smaller and cheaper version of the iPhone 11 for 2020. TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who has a strong track record of accurate Apple predictions, expects the company to launch the so-called iPhone SE2 early next year. It'd bring the A13 chip and 3GB of LPDDR4X memory to an iPhone 8 form factor. According to CNBC, Kuo suggested in an analyst note that the iPhone SE2 will retain the iPhone 8's 4.7-inchAccording to CNBC, Kuo suggested in an analyst note that the iPhone SE2 will retain the iPhone 8's 4.7-inch screen. The iPhone 11 has a 6.1-inch display.
A 6.7-inch screen would be the largest ever on an iPhone, though still smaller than the 6.8-inch display on the Samsung Note 10 Plus.
Both the 6.7-inch and 5.4-inch Apple models will feature OLED displays made by Samsung, the report says. The OLED panel on that tweener 6.1-inch model will be produced by LG Display.
For sure, it’s only been a few months since Apple unveiled what, for now, are the freshest iPhones – the iPhone 11 with its 6.1-inch display, the 11 Pro at 5.8-inches, and the 11 Pro Max at 6.5-inches – proving once again that speculation around Apple’s latest handsets remains a year-round spectator sport.
iPhone 11 review:
The world’s most accurate Apple insider just leaked iPhone SE 2 details and release timing
Apple just unveiled three new iPhones that are selling very well according to reports, and there's plenty of evidence to back up that claim — several models were sold out almost immediately after preorders began. But that doesn’t mean Apple is done launching new iPhones. A well-known insider says the company will unveil an iPhone SE replacement in the first quarter of 2020 that will feature a design like the old iPhone 8, but it'll have specs onThe best thing about the iPhone 11 series is that just like last year’s iPhone XS and XR phones, all three new handsets share almost the same specs. Most importantly, we’re looking at Apple’s powerful, more efficient A13 chip that has no rival in the business.

First 5G iPhones?
Industry observers also expect Apple to offer its first 5G iPhone in September 2020, sticking to the usual timeframe when the company unveils new phones. What’s less clear is if all the new iPhones Apple releases at that time will be compatible with the next generation of wireless networks, which are still in their early rollout stages. Only a few premium 5G phones have been released so far in the U.S., none from Apple.
Noted Apple watcher and TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo suggested the new iPhones slated for next September would all be 5G-capable, backed by chips from Qualcomm and Samsung. The ETNews report was less clear about that.
But Kuo has also suggested that a small budget $399 iPhone, possibly known as the, could launch in the early part of 2020. Such a device would almost certainly not be 5G-capable but it is expected to have the innards of the iPhone 11s in a body with a 4.7-inch screen.
One thing you can count on: Given the calendar, this will not be the last iPhone rumors to surface before Apple gets around to lifting the curtain on all its next devices.
