Now CNET reports it's sending out invites for a November 13th event in Los Angeles that promise the "highly-anticipated unveiling of a reinvented icon." Samsung has been rumored to be working on a foldable smartphone. Now, we know actually that Samsung is indeed working on a foldable phone that comes straight from DJ Koh. Nothing really concrete that we're seeing online, and that could mean that the phone isn't really in production yet.

Pablo Escobar’s brother is apparently manufacturing phones, and that itself is a story worthy of a Netflix limited series. And not just any phones; we’re looking at foldable phones that are going directly after the iPhone. Because, of course, you’d want your brand new device to compete directly against the most iconic smartphone out there. The Escobar phone is called Pablo Escobar Fold 1 — because, of course, it is. Is it made with drug money? Well, we have no way of answering that. But the phone, however, might not be that original.

The phone looks a lot like a certain flexible handset you may have heard of before, Gizmodo is quick to point out. That’s the Royole FlexPai, which beat Samsung and Huawei to market by several months. The device is hardly the kind of foldable hardware you’d want to buy, and it was somewhat expensive to order when it launched about a year ago.

Moto’s foldable Razr might launch next month

Moto’s foldable Razr might launch next month Motorola might finally give us want we've been asking for – a reincarnated Razr phone. According to a report by CNET, the company has sent an invite for an event scheduled for next month that hints towards a flip phone’s launch.© Provided by The Next WebThe invite shows a device folding and unfolding with “An original, unlike any other” tagline. CNET adds the invite says, “You’re going to flip.”Since the beginning of the year, we’ve been hearing rumors of Motorola bringing the sexy back with a foldable Razr. We’ve even got a coupleof glimpses of how the phone looks too.

Foldable phones like the Samsung Galaxy Fold and Huawei Mate X have been surrounded by equal parts hype, delays and frustrations. Unlike the coffin-like boxes the iPhone 11 or Samsung Galaxy Note 10 are packaged in, the Razr comes standing upright with a transparent lid that lets you see the

The foldable phone is currently available in China and is currently the talk of CES 2019. In fact, the FlexPai has been available in Beijing since October, and was set to start shipping to developers in the US and UK back in But FlexPai won't be the only flexible phone you 'll see in the months to come .

Escobar’s brother, however, has different plans for it. “I have told many people that I would beat Apple and I will,” Escobar told Digital Trends. “I cut the networks and retailers, to sell to customers phones that can fold for only $349, phones which in stores cost thousands of dollars by Samsung and others. This is my goal, to beat Apple, and by doing it myself like I always have.”

It’s unclear if doing it yourself means rebranding an already awful device and selling it as your own. However, Escobar says he plans on hitting Apple with a class-action suit in early January, going for a huge $30 billion payday. Escobar’s brother says he’ll invest $1 million of his own money to start the proceedings. Is that drug money? We might never know.

Samsung just confirmed the first Galaxy Fold 2 details

Samsung just confirmed the first Galaxy Fold 2 details Samsung’s Galaxy Fold hasn’t been the massive success the Korean giant has envisioned, but it’s finally out there. Samsung can easily claim it was the first major smartphone vendor to ship a foldable phone in 2019 and does deserve some credit for taking the risk and pushing forward with the launch of a futuristic device well ahead of time. Foldable phones and laptops are certainly going to become more prevalent in the coming years, but the technology isn’t quite there yet — not to mention the sky-high price. Samsung will keep making foldable phones in the coming years, with recent reports saying that Samsung is planning a different foldable design.

As for the phone itself, Escobar says his phone is harder to break than the Samsung Galaxy Fold on account Special Plastic was the key all along to unbreakable, foldable glory. The Fold 1, according to Escobar He saw Pablo Escobar with a phone beyond anybody’s imagination,”—super on brand.

To get back to the phone’s specs, we’re looking at two 7.8-inch AMOLED screens connected by a hinge, a Snapdragon 8-series processor, 128GB of storage, 20-megapixel and 16-megapixel cameras, a fingerprint sensor, and Android 9 under the hood. Pay $500, and you’ll get a version with 512GB of storage.

The handset has a screen “made of a special type of plastic,” which is “very difficult to break.” Sure.

The handset also has “special security” on board, which makes it harder to scan via Bluetooth. A “thin layer of metal” blocking RFID and “other communications” is also present. Is the phone meant to help protect drug lords shield their illegal operations from law enforcement while simultaneously making them look cool? We might never find out.

You can order it if you so desire, but proceed at your own risk — and yes, you will encounter plenty of marketing materials involving barely dressed models.

Huge leak might’ve revealed Samsung’s price for the Galaxy Fold 2 .
Samsung has had a tough year when it comes to marketing and selling foldable phones. That’s not because the technology isn’t interesting to consumers, but because the first phone Samsung ever made turned out to be a lot easier to damage than we’d have liked. The Galaxy Fold required several fixes that would prevent screen damage, and Samsung had to delay the phone’s launch by five months. Even so, the handset is extremely fragile, and you do have to pay extra attention when dealing with the screen. These durability issues are all the more annoying considering the Galaxy Fold’s entry price.
