' The Expanse ' - Thank You to the Fans. Do you like this video? Season Four is the fourth season of Amazon 's The Expanse and the first to air after the migration from Syfy to Amazon Studios. Amazon officially ordered Season 4 on May 26, 2018.

If you were planning to dive into season four of The Expanse later tonight, then you may need to adjust your plans -- it's available on Amazon Prime Video right now. Following the early release of Jack Ryan in October, Amazon has posted up its first original season of the show it saved from cancellation. Unlike the Syfy broadcast, this one is a bingeable full season drop so you can jump through all ten episodes right away.

This release is coming so early that a pre-release marathon of the three previous seasons is still ongoing over at Twitch. Apparently the early drop is becoming Amazon's move -- we'll see if Netflix ever recreates its surprise primetime Orange is the New Black season three release in response.

Amazon graciously saved ' The Expanse ' from extinction after the series was cancelled by Syfy. Deadline reported in late January 2019 that The Expanse Season 4 would release sometime in 2019, and the official release date announcement at San Diego Comic-Con in July confirmed a release date

The Expanse season 4 is scheduled to release on Amazon Prime by the end of 2019. Furthermore, Sanders confirmed that all of the original cast will be returning, along with new members such as Burn Gorman, who actually confirmed that The Expanse season 4 wrapped production in early February.

How the cloud helps lift ‘The Expanse’ and other science fiction epics out of this world .
It used to take a cast of thousands to create cinematic extravaganzas, but now the job can be done with thousands of cloud-connected computer servers. © Provided by Geekwire Engineer Naomi Nagata (played by Dominique Tipper) watches a projectile whiz past her in an episode of “The Expanse.” Mavericks VFX was responsible for the whiz. (Mavericks VFX Photo) The proof of that can be seen today in science-fiction epics ranging from “Star Wars” to “The Expanse.” And those shows merely hint at the beginning of a computer-generated revolution in visual effects, or VFX. Just wait until artificial intelligence hits its prime.
