The Pixelbook Go is Google's most affordable Chromebook yet
Google's new Pixelbook Go wasn't as heavily leaked as the Pixel 4, but we still had a pretty good idea of what to expect from the company's next Chromebook. Today, Google has officially confirmed what we saw last week — the Pixelbook Go is a fairly standard-looking laptop, at least compared to the original Pixelbook and Pixel Slate that Google has released the past two autumns. From a design perspective, the Pixelbook Go looks a lot less distinctive than the original Pixelbook. In a lot of ways, it looks like a MacBook Pro, with fairly similar design language.
The Pixelbook Go is Google 's latest swing at a high-end, flagship laptop for Chrome OS. The device was announced and shipped in October, but only the mid- and low-end models. As first spotted by Chrome Unboxed, the laptop's highest end configuration is now available for $ 1 , 399 .
With the Pixelbook Go , Google is changing the formula slightly. It's a solid, well-made device that doesn't feel cheap, something we can't say about Google does offer the Go with a 4 K screen, but that option is only available if you get the top-of-the-line model, which costs an eye-popping $ 1 , 399 .
Those who can't justify dropping $1,399 for a Chromebook can still go for Pixelbook Go's more affordable configurations. Its prices start at $649 for the basic model, which is powered by an eighth-generation Intel Core m3 processor and has 8GB of RAM, as well as 64GB of storage. The bad news? None of the configurations are available in Not Pink just yet.,
