(Bloomberg) -- President Donald Trump on Monday retweeted a widely scrutinized video of a St. Louis couple aiming guns at a protest march. The couple stood in front of their house armed with guns, shouting back and forth with Black Lives Matter protesters near the street, the St. Louis Post -Dispatch reported. Demonstrators there were marching on the home of Mayor Lyda Krewson to demand her resignation after she read aloud names and addresses of protesters who wanted to cut police funding. Police are investigating the incident.

Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves defended the couple, writing they “were totally within their rights (although they might want to work on trigger discipline).” Lawmakers in Reeves’ state voted Sunday to remove the Confederate battle emblem from its flag after 126 years. Miami Statues Vandalized During Protest, Seven People Arrested .
A protest in Downtown Miami on Wednesday led to tense moments between police and protesters and landed several people in custody. © Provided by CBS Miami City of Miami police arrested 7 people Wednesday night. “While initiated the arrests, several protesters assaulted our officers and damaged a police vehicle,” a spokesperson for the Miami PD said in a press release early Thursday. Two statues, one of Christopher Columbus and the other of Juan Ponce De Leon, outside Bayside Marketplace in Downtown Miami were also vandalized during Wednesday night’s protest.
