Everybody is a little bit self-obsessed at the gym. It's the kind of place where everyone is there to make their bodies look better and to become more healthy in general, while also staring at themselves in the mirror and watching every other gym-goer attentively. For women in particular, the gym ends up being a fish bowl and a place where, if you're any good at lifting or look cute in any way, you get watched and stalked like a prey animal in hunting season. For one young woman who is a personal trainer, micro influencer, and body positivity warrior, the gym quickly became a toxic environment even more than usual one day.

Salmon heads, fins and tails filled baking trays in the kitchen where Lottie Sam prepped for her tribe’s spring feast. Kylee Anderson, a popular fitness influencer online, was appalled when a YMCA employee approached her at the gym during her daily workout, asking her to leave the premises immediate. When she pressed for more information on why she was being banished, the gym employee said that her outfit broke the gym's dress code and that some of the other gym users had submitted formal complaints. Apparently she was dressed in a revealing way, with her blue workout tights and her fitted workout tank top. It must have been the sliver of midriff showing in a completely unobtrusive way.

Not only was she surprised by the alleged complaint, but she had worn similar outfits to the gym in the past with no problems. From the parking lot, she posted a scorching video pointing out her disappointment with the gym's handling of the situation. “I was livid”, she complained, “I want to wear what I feel cute and comfortable in [and I was just] embarrassed” In a follow up video, Kylee modeled the offensive outfit, causing a stir with her following and pointing out how normal and typical this outfit was— in fact, she looks like she might just be going to the grocery store or the bank. The clothes are obviously not the problem here.
Does your state have a favorite Thanksgiving side dish? Google shares popular holiday searches
Green bean or string bean casseroles were favorites across the country, but many states also showed interest in corn, broccoli and potato dishes. Illinois, Maine, Ohio and Wisconsin all chose cheesy options. And sweet potato, yam and butternut squash dishes were popular picks, but Nebraska was the only state that included marshmallows. © Camille Fine camille fine Check out your state’s uniquely searched Thanksgiving casserole below.

“This is the exact outfit I was wearing when I was stopped in the middle of my workout at my gym and forces to put on a large T-shirt”.

“But guys can wear cutoffs? Makes sense.”

She points out the inequality between other gym goers and how men can basically wear whatever they want, but she was the one that received a complaint. The videos received so much heated debate that she later removed it from her page due to the negative backlash that her gym was receiving and to avoid any further conflict. For the most part, her followers backed her up whole heartedly, which at least is giving us faith in humanity that sane people are still out. Kylee has certainly not stopped going to the gym to workout and continues to wear clothes that make her feel good.
