Kerr: '99.9 percent' chance Curry won't play Christmas Day The Elf isn't the only one who'll be on the shelf this Christmas. "I'm trying to get them to let me play a little more ," he said Friday, as quoted by ESPN's Dave McMenamin. I'm a little sore, and I expected to be sore and a little stiff, but for the most part, my body feels good." Asked how good, Thomas said he was slowly but surely returning to full strength.

Cavaliers players reportedly frustrated with Isaiah Thomas. Isaiah Thomas is averaging 15.9 points Despite how much the Cavs could benefit from having Thomas on the court, the team doesn't want to "So the more I get comfortable in playing in basketball games, I think the less soreness I'll have."

After missing the first 36 games of the season due to a hip injury, the Cleveland Cavaliers are easing the point guard into the rotation. Thomas is on a minutes restriction and can only play in half of back to backs, but thinks he can take on more.

"I'm trying to get them to let me play a little more," he said Friday, as quoted by ESPN's Dave McMenamin. "Especially (because) I played all right the first game that I played, so I'm - trust me - I'm on them about playing a little more because for the most part I feel fine. Trump defends new tax-cut bill amid negative polls

Trump defends new tax-cut bill amid negative polls President Trump on Sunday touted provisions in the recently-passed GOP tax plan, while pushing back against polls that indicate the measure is unpopular among the U.S. public. "The Tax Cut/Reform Bill, including Massive Alaska Drilling and the Repeal of the highly unpopular Individual Mandate, brought it all together as to what an incredible year we had," Trump tweeted. If Isaiah Thomas' math is correct, his game hasn't improved since he return. To have a leg injury like I have, so. I just try to keep pushing and stay positive." He played eight minutes in the fourth quarter (remember, Lue didn't play him at all in the fourth on Sunday) and Cleveland was outscored by 13 in

Asked how good, Thomas said he was slowly but surely returning to full strength.

"Man, 80 (percent), probably," he replied. "Like, I'm not in any type of shape. And then on top of where I want to be physically, I'm not as powerful as I want to be and explosive. But that's going to come with a lot of (practice) reps and game repetitions. So, I'm getting close, but it will probably take a while until I feel like I did last season."

The team hasn't set a timeline on when the restrictions will be lifted, as it'll be determined by the training staff and how Thomas feels. For his part, the explosive scorer said he will continue to stay on top of his rehab in order to get back to the MVP level he played at last season.

Thomas joined the Cavaliers via trade from the Boston Celtics in the Kyrie Irving megadeal this past summer.

The two-time All-Star put up 28.9 points, 5.9 assists, and 2.7 rebounds per game last season. He notched 17 points and three assists in 19 minutes Tuesday in a win over the Portland Trail Blazers.
