Victims' dad apologizes after lunging at Nassar in courtroom

Victims' dad apologizes after lunging at Nassar in courtroom A distraught father seething over sexual abuse suffered by three daughters tried to attack former sports doctor Larry Nassar in a Michigan courtroom after a judge rejected his request to confront the "demon" in a locked room, a stunning rush that reflected the anguish felt by parents who trusted him with their children. Randall Margraves was blocked by an attorney, tackled by sheriff's deputies and hauled out of court Friday. He later apologized, saying he had lost control. Eaton County Judge Janice Cunningham said there was "no way" she would fine him or send him to jail under her contempt-of-court powers.

Larry Nance Jr will be competing in the Slam Dunk Contest on NBA All-Star Saturday Night, and he is more than happy to receive some guidance from his old man, who won the contest back in 1984.

In an interview with Marla Ridenour of the Akron Beacon Journal that was published over the weekend, the Cleveland Cavaliers forward-center revealed the advice that he got from father Larry Nance Sr for the Dunk Contest.

“Make the first one,” Junior says that Senior told him. “I don’t want to be that guy that’s out there missing.

“It’s fun to talk about, sit around the house with my fiancee,” the younger Nance added about the thought of following up his father’s victory with one of his own 34 years later. “Like, ‘How cool would it be, at home we have mine next to his, we’d be able to hold them up and take a picture?’ I’m just excited to get the opportunity to try.”

Christie Brinkley Says 'Smarmy' Donald Trump Tried to Woo Her While He Was Married to Ivana

Christie Brinkley Says 'Smarmy' Donald Trump Tried to Woo Her While He Was Married to Ivana President Donald Trump may have married two models in his life, but apparently there was at least one that got away. Christie Brinkley revealed in a new interview with Porter magazine that Trump once asked her to join him on his private jet — but she turned him down because she suspected he was “chasing skirts.” The model says Trump, who was married to his first wife, former model Ivana Trump, at the time, extended the invitation while Brinkley was staying at the Plaza Hotel in New York City. “My phone rings and this guy goes, ‘Hey, Christie, it’s The Donald.’ I say, ‘Hi, Billy,’ because I was dating Billy [Joel] at the time,” Brinkley told Porter magazine, as reported by The Sunday Times. “But the voice goes, ‘No, no. It’s The Donald!’ So I say, ‘What’s up?’ And he says, ‘I hear you’re leaving for Aspen tomorrow. I am too. I’d like to give you a ride on my private jet.’ Brinkley continued, “So I reply, ‘Thank you, but I have already arranged my flights.’ ‘So cancel them!’ was his response, and I say, ‘No, thank you. I’m going with friends.’ I knew he was married, and there he was asking me to go on his plane. He was kind of flirty about it. He was out chasing skirts.” The model says that’s not the only time she crossed paths with Trump. Trump’s 15-year marriage to Ivana ended in the early 1990s after he had a highly publicized affair with actress Marla Maples. Trump went on to marry and divorce Maples before later wedding model-turned-first-lady Melania in 2005. Brinkley’s story comes amid allegations that Trump also had an affair with porn star Stormy Daniels in 2006 while he was married to Melania. Trump has denied the claims through his lawyer Michael Cohen.

The elder Nance also played with the Cavs from 1988 to 1994, making two All-Star teams and three All-Defensive teams during his time there. We know of one further way that he wants his son to imitate him, but bringing home a second Dunk Contest trophy to the Nance household would be pretty cool too.

LeBron James: <p>The fans have asked for it so many times over the years, but LeBron James has constantly turned down the offers. We'd all love to see LBJ in the dunk contest, being that he is <span href=one of the best in-game dunkers the game has ever seen. Maybe he'll give in to it one day.

We sure hope he does.

Rockets fend off Celtics to win 15th straight .
The Rockets were in trouble, even if they didn't know it or at least would not admit it. But the Boston Celtics were another bucket from control, the winning streak another two minutes from being over.It was the best thing that could have happened to the Rockets.Of all the ways the Rockets had prevailed throughout the winning streak, from high-scoring blowouts to tight grinds with short-handed lineups, never had they faced the test or even the sense of import that hit them when they were down to their last chances Saturday night at Toyota Center.
