Curry suffers Grade 2 MCL sprain, likely to miss start of playoffs © Cary Edmondson-USA TODAY Sports Steph Curry had terrible luck, injuring his knee on the first night he came back from a sprained ankle.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, a Saturday MRI concluded that Curry had a Grade 2 MCL sprain, and he will be re-evaluated in three weeks.

Wojnarowski noted that Curry could return around the start of the playoffs, and that this was good news for the Warriors. The playoffs begin three weeks from Saturday.

The injury happened in the third quarter of the Warriors home game against the Hawks. JaVale McGee, Curry’s teammate, attempted to block a shot, and came crashing to the floor, accidentally taking Curry’s leg out from under him.

Ex-Miss Kentucky gets probation for bringing pot into prison LIMA, Ohio — A former Miss Kentucky who tried to smuggle a small amount of marijuana into an Ohio prison for her boyfriend won't have to spend time behind bars. The Lima News reports 28-year-old Kia Hampton, of Louisville, Kentucky, received probation Wednesday during a hearing in Allen County in western Ohio. Authorities say Hampton was found with a marijuana-filled balloon at the Allen-Oakwood Correctional Institution in May 2017.While prosecutors pushed for a prison sentence, the judge said Hampton seemed remorseful. She could have received three years in prison.

Here’s the play:

For Warriors fans, this play was all too familiar. Kevin Durant suffered the same injury last season, a grade 2 MCL sprain, after Zaza Pachulia crashed into Durant the same way McGee did to Curry.

Durant missed 19 games with that injury over the course of five weeks. Were Curry to miss the same amount of time, he’d likely return for the second round of the postseason. Warriors fans must hope Curry’s injury is less serious.

Steve Kerr says ‘there’s no way’ Stephen Curry plays in first round

Steve Kerr says ‘there’s no way’ Stephen Curry plays in first round Warriors head coach Steve Kerr squelched any lingering hopes Sunday that Stephen Curry could play in the first round of the playoffs. “Oh, there’s no way he’s playing in the first round,” Kerr said before Sunday evening’s game against Utah. “There’s no way. He’s being re-evaluated in three weeks, so we’ve got to be ready for playing without him.”Curry is scheduled to have the sprained MCL in his left knee re-evaluated on April 14, which seemingly left open the possibility that he could return for Game 1 of a first-round series. The Warriors, however, aren’t willing to rush the face of the franchise back.
