Patrick McCaw suffers scary injury as Warriors beat Kings
Late in the third quarter of the Warriors’ 112-96 win Saturday night over the Kings, after he was inadvertently bumped by Vince Carter while coming down on a layup, It was a scary scene for a team that has struggled to stay healthy of late. Unlike the injuries that have sidelined Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant and Draymond Green recently, McCaw’s appears serious. An ambulance took him to UC Davis Medical Center for further evaluation. At the final buzzer, the team had not yet released any more information about his injury.

Golden State Warriors guard Patrick McCaw was released from hospital Sunday with no major injuries after Saturday's hard fall against the Sacramento Kings, but Dubs coach Steve Kerr will find the episode hard to forget.
"Last night was really terrifying," Kerr said Sunday, according to The Associated Press. "Scariest thing I've ever experienced on a basketball floor, for sure. Not even close."
Kings veteran Vince Carter inadvertently undercut McCaw on a baseline drive to the basket, sending the 22-year-old sophomore to the floor, where he landed hard on his back.

Kerr was immediately incensed, audibly scolding Carter for the play.

Carter was visibly shaken by the injury, later apologizing.
McCaw suffered no structural damage and was diagnosed with a lumbar spine bruise.
"All the news has been good," Kerr said. "He's up walking. That's the only thing that matters, that Patrick's OK."
