2 ex-Clemson football players, 1 ex-Duke player arrested

  2 ex-Clemson football players, 1 ex-Duke player arrested Three former college football players - two from Clemson and one from Duke - have been arrested and charged with armed robbery and possessing a weapon while committing a crime. The three are Jadar Johnson and C.J. Fuller of Clemson and Quaven Ferguson of Duke. They were arrested by Clemson police Wednesday. Police say they knocked on the victim's door, forced their way in and took cash and a cellphone.All three had bond set Thursday at $25,000. Their legal representation is unclear.Johnson, a defensive back, started on Clemson's 2016 national championship team and was signed by the New York Giants.

The NFL wants football to be a global sport, and Ezekiel Elliott is doing his part to help make that happen.

Elliott and several other Cowboys are conducting a youth football camp in Mexico, in conjunction with the National Fantasy Football Convention. Elliott, coincidentally, spent his six-week, league-imposed suspension in Mexico last year.

Joining Elliott are Jaylon Smith, Taco Charlton, Anthony Brown and Kavon Frazier, and former Cowboy (current Raider) Keith Smith.

“It’s no secret that football is a growing around the world and we’re thrilled to play a part in spreading the game to our friends south of the border,” NFFC CEO Andy Alberth said, via Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “We take immense pride in making the yearly convention a Disneyland for football fans and can’t think of a better way to bring that same joy to kids that may not normally get the best exposure to America’s new pastime.”

DALLAS (AP) — Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott is headlining a youth camp in Mexico organized by a fantasy football group that got its start with backing from former Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.

The NFFC’s second convention will happen from July 13-15 in Dallas, and it will feature more than 200 NFL players.

Barcelona's repeated proposals to renovate and expand the Camp Nou have finally been approved by local government, and ESPN's Sam Marsden expects work to begin on the project next summer. Club president Josep Maria Bartomeu revealed the plans were given the thumbs-up on Thursday, allowing the regeneration of the area around the venue and the raising of the stadium's capacity to 105,000.
