With the NFL Draft set for Thursday, there's still much anticipation surrounding the Cleveland Browns' first and fourth overall picks.

For weeks now, many have touted USC quarterback Sam Darnold as the first overall pick and the QB of the future for the Browns.

Perhaps the only people not sold on the idea are those in the Cleveland Browns' front office.

This would be an unexpected but team-changing decision for Cleveland. If they go with a non-quarterback first overall (either Bradley Chubb or Saquon Barkley), they could still select either Josh Allen, Josh Rosen, Baker Mayfield, or maybe even Sam Darnold with the fourth pick.

Let's say the Browns go with Chubb first overall, the entire draft is then in the hands of the New York Giants. With the No. 2 overall pick, they'll probably take either a quarterback or Barkley. If they take Barkley, Cleveland will almost definitely take a quarterback fourth overall.

But if the Giants and Jets both take quarterbacks before the Browns' pick, Cleveland could pair Chubb with Barkley and then trade back into the first round for Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson. While Jackson is quite the polarizing prospect, the Browns reportedly remain bullish on his potential.

But with Jackson's low floor, he might end up just another name on that embarrassing Cleveland Browns' quarterback jersey.

Is it worth the risk for Cleveland if it means securing the top two non-quarterback prospects in the draft?

That's up to general manager John Dorsey to decide on Thursday.
