VIDEO: SNL Mocks LeBron's Teammates in Hilarious Skit The Cleveland Cavaliers took a 3-0 series lead Saturday with a game-winning shot from who else than LeBron James. He has essentially carried the Cavs on his back, with a lot of heat from experts on how bad the rest of his team is. This has led to Saturday Night Live striking again, mocking the rest of the Cavaliers in a promo video on the show last night. My personal favorite: "Whatever LeBron needs, we'll get it done. As long as what he needs isn't basketball."So far in the playoffs, LeBron is averaging 34.8 points, 9.5 rebounds and 8.8 assists.

According to Jason Lloyd of The Athletic, this includes the idea that both head coach Tyronn Lue and star forward LeBron James wanted the Cavaliers to make a deal for Los Angeles Clippers big man DeAndre Jordan during February’s trade deadline.

They cannot say they did whatever they could to keep LeBron here this time. Doing whatever they could to keep him would've meant dealing for DeAndre Jordan at the trade deadline, the rim-protecting center Lue coveted and James equally wanted badly.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are up against the wall heading into Game 3 of their Eastern Conference Finals matchup against the Boston Celtics this coming Saturday. Having been blown out in the first two games of the series, it certainly doesn’t look like Cleveland has the capability of competing against Boston moving forward.

Only time will tell on that front.

LeBron James’ son on dad’s latest game-winner: ‘it’s normal’

LeBron James’ son on dad’s latest game-winner: ‘it’s normal’ Being the son of The King affords the kind of lifestyle that a normal person cannot dare dream of. LeBron James Jr., a dazzling young basketball player in his own right, was relatively nonchalant about his father’s buzzer-beating dagger in the Cleveland Cavaliers’ 105-103 Game 3 victory over the Toronto Raptors in the lopsided Eastern Conference semifinal series.

Tyronn Lue, LeBron James has reported wanting Cavaliers to trade for DeAndre Jordan on time Everyone knew the Cleveland Cavaliers were going to do something

But as an era of contending basketball in Cleveland potentially comes to an end here soon, we’re starting to hear a bit more about the dynamics behind the scenes.

According to Jason Lloyd of The Athletic, this includes the idea that both head coach Tyronn Lue and star forward LeBron James wanted the Cavaliers to make a deal for Los Angeles Clippers big man DeAndre Jordan during February’s trade deadline.

“Now, however, they can no longer say they’re ‘All-In.’ They cannot say they did whatever they could to keep LeBron here this time,” Lloyd reported. “Doing whatever they could to keep him would’ve meant dealing for DeAndre Jordan at the trade deadline, the rim-protecting center Lue coveted and James equally wanted badly. Instead, the Cavs hedged, collecting a group of twenty-somethings that can grow together in the event James is off to Houston or Philadelphia or Los Angeles or some other contender next season.”

LeBron smartly refuses to look ahead to Boston

LeBron smartly refuses to look ahead to Boston The Cleveland Cavaliers have all but wrapped up their Eastern Conference Semifinals series against the Toronto Raptors, up 3-0. The Boston Celtics, also up 3-0 on the Philadelphia 76ers, appear destined to be the next opponent of LeBron James and Co., but The King refuses to look ahead.Speaking to reporters about this on Monday morning ahead of Game 4, James made it clear his work isn’t finished in the current series.“I don’t really want to talk about Boston right now, just yet,” James said Monday morning at the team’s shootaround, per Daryl Ruiter of 92.3 The Fan. “I still gotta lot of work to in this series.

Linked to Jordan in the lead up to the trade deadline, it makes sense that this might be leaked right now. It seems that there might be a rift between LeBron James and those in the Cavaliers’ organization tasked with making sure the team is in decent shape should James actually depart in free agency this summer.

To be clear: Cavaliers GM Koby Altman isn’t really in the wrong here. By adding the likes of Jordan Clarkson, Larry Nance Jr. and Rodney Hood to the mix, Cleveland picked up pieces that could play a role moving forward. Jordan can opt out of his contract and become a free agent this summer.

The split here is real. James wanted to sacrifice long term for the potential to contend over the short term. The same can be said about a head coach in Lue who is clearly on the hot seat. It will certainly be something to look at should Cleveland find itself eliminated from title contention by Boston.

LeBron James Blew Off Dan Gilbert After Game 7 Win .

LeBron James is unbelievable. He showed that again Sunday night as the led an objectively terrible Cleveland Cavaliers team to an Eastern Conference title with an 87-79 Game 7 win over the Boston Celtics. LeBron finished with 35 points, 15 rebounds and nine assists in 48 minutes, but it's also notable what happened just after the game ended.
It's no secret that Cavs owner Dan Gilbert and James have a frosty relationship. You would think after such an emotional win in such an emotional series, that might be dropped for a moment of celebration.
