The Eagles took the field for the first time as they kicked off involuntary OTAs. One of the things teams always dread are injuries during these workouts.

Last year the Eagles dealt with their share of them during the season. Unfortunately, the trend continued during their first practice.

Linebacker Paul Worrilow went down with an apparent knee injury during the red zone period of seven on seven on practice.

Nate Sudfeld threaded the needle on a tight pass to running back Donnel Pumphrey on a short route as he hooked up across the middle. The pass went between Worrilow and fellow linebacker Corey Nelson.

The injury would knock him out for the entire season.The injury was part of an eventful day at linebacker for the Eagles. The team also released six-year starter Mychal Kendricks, which leaves them with Jordan Hicks, Nigel Bradham, Joe Walker, Corey Nelson, Kamu Grugier-Hill, Nathan Gerry and LaRoy Reynolds at linebacker.

The two linebackers collided and Worrilow went down holding his right knee. He banged his fist on the turf as the trainers ran over to him from the sideline.

With Doug Pederson and LB coach Jenn Flajole by his side, the trainers applied an aircast to his right leg. They loaded Worrilow onto a cart and took him out of the practice bubble.

Eagles Fans Show Up to White House, Man Kneels During Anthem at Trump's America Celebration .
The White House disinvited the Eagles from their Super Bowl victory and held a "Celebration of America" ceremony instead on Tuesday afternoon. Despite the Eagles' absence, a handful of fans came to the celebration at the White House. A few wore Eagles jerseys and hats, while another fan kneeled during the playing of the national anthem. Whether or not the fans in attendance knew much about the Eagles seems to be up in the air.
