Throughout baseball history, there have been plenty of bad errors. But on Thursday, Ole Miss pitcher Parker Caracci committed one that would make the worst player on a bad Little League team blush.

The Rebels were leading Georgia 3-1 in an SEC Tournament game. With men on second and third and two outs, the Bulldogs were threatening in the top half of the eighth. Caracci appeared to get out jam with a ground ball right back to him. That’s where things went awry.

First of all, there was no need to go home. With two outs, he just had to go to first to end the inning and escape with a 3-1 lead. But even still, the out at home could have been recorded, if only Caracci didn’t unleash a throw straight out of the Chuck Knoblauch or Steve Sax school.

There is good news for Caracci, however. While the Bulldogs did tie the game on that play, the Rebels went on to win in the 10th inning.
