Louisville must turn over all documents related to its self-imposed 2016 postseason banAs a result of the decision, Willett ruled that U of L must turn over all documents used by former President James Ramsey when he voluntarily withheld the team out of the 2016 NCAA Tournament. Louisville must also pay the court costs for Dr. Peter Hasselbacher, who had sought the records, because the documents were "willfully withheld," WDRB in Louisville reports.
Former head coach Rick Pitino will be writing a book on his last few years plagued by scandal at the helm of the Cardinals, according to
Ragsdalethat the book will be about his entire coaching career, but heavily focus on the issues that engulfed his final years as a Division 1 head coach.
Pitino was officially fired after being placed on leave on Oct. 16th, as the university terminated his contract with "just cause" in the fallout of an FBI investigation into school corruption in the athletic department and involvement with Adidas.

Detroit hires ex-Indiana and Texas Southern coach Mike Davis .
Detroit Mercy has hired basketball coach Mike Davis away from Texas Southern. The Horizon League school in the Motor City announced the move Thursday, adding a coach with a 352-241 career record in college.Davis led Texas Southern for the previous six seasons, leading the Southwest Athletic Conference program to the NCAA Tournament four times. He coached at Indiana for six seasons, helping the Hoosiers reach the 2002 Final Four in one of four trips to the NCAA Tournament and win a Big Ten title. Davis also led Alabama-Birmingham.
