  Jim Kelly to receive Jimmy V Award for battling cancer Buffalo Bills Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly says he's going to receive ESPN's Jimmy V Award for the toughness and perseverance he's displayed during his ongoing battle with oral cancer. Kelly says cable network officials informed him about 10 days ago that he will receive the honor at the ESPY Awards next month. He made the announcement Monday while attending his charitable foundation's 32nd golf tournament outside of Buffalo.

The White Sox granted the wish of 7-year-old cancer patient Alex Estrada by letting him spend the day with the team on Wednesday.

Alex started his day by having a pep rally at his daycare before riding to Guaranteed Rate Field in a limo, according to WGN.

Once he arrived in the clubhouse, Alex got his own White Sox uniform and played video games with Yolmer Sanchez and Hector Santiago. Alex also got to sit in the clubhouse hot tub and went to BP with the team.

Alex has been fighting Stage 4 high-risk neuroblastoma since being diagnosed at age 4.

Prior to the start of Wednesday night's game against the Indians, Alex ran the bases in front of the crowd at Guaranteed Rate Field. The fans and both teams cheered Alex on as he made his way around the bases.

Alex was chosen for this special day as part of the club's Sox Serve week.

One of the men charged in the murder of a Northern Kentucky cancer patient is being held on $1 million bond. Kenneth Jones is accused of killing Denita Satchwell after she vanished last week. Jones is charged with murder, robbery and tampering with evidence. He faces the possibility of life behind bars if convicted, or possibly death if the case qualifies.Covington police issued an alert for Satchwell after she vanished last weekend. Her body was found Thursday near Rabbit Hash, Kentucky.According to court documents, Satchwell was a stage 4 lung cancer patient.
