Report: Cavaliers ‘open’ to trading Kevin Love

Report: Cavaliers ‘open’ to trading Kevin Love Despite their insistence otherwise, the Cleveland Cavaliers are reportedly willing to trade Kevin Love if the right deal comes their way. According to Jason Lloyd of the Athletic, league sources indicate that the Cavaliers are “open” to moving Love despite the organization’s public insistence that he will stay to be part of an effort to remain in contention. It would make sense for the Cavaliers to try to move Love. With LeBron James gone, they’re no longer a title contender. Moreover, the Cavaliers’ first-round selection next season is top-10 protected and will go to the Atlanta Hawks otherwise.

Cavaliers Move Kevin Love for Another Star. 2 of 10. Boston reportedly went after George at the February trade deadline. Jaylen Brown, the No . 3 pick in last year’s draft , showed flashes of potential stardom during his rookie season.

Sign Up . The Cleveland Cavaliers are reportedly only willing to include the Brooklyn Nets' 2018 first-round draft pick, which they acquired from the Boston Celtics as part of the Kyrie Irving deal, in trade talks if the package coming back can help the organization for the long haul.

On NBA Draft night, Luka Dončić unsurprisingly made some waves. The Atlanta Hawks took him with the No. 3 overall pick only to trade him to the Dallas Mavericks (and Trae Young) at No. 5. According to Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com, the Cavaliers could’ve had Dončić for themselves.

“A source said the Cavs were offered on draft night the chance to trade up to No. 3 with the Hawks in a deal that would’ve sent Kent Bazemore to Cleveland.”

As it turns out, the Cavaliers were just very high on Collin Sexton. That’s whom they took eighth overall. If this report is true and they didn’t want Dončić, it’s almost unbelievable, but again, they were said to be very high on their eventual pick. Sexton is off to a great start in the summer league.

We can say, however, that Dončić is arguably the best player in this draft class. For some reason, the Phoenix Suns took a traditional center that has no role in today’s game. For some reason, the Sacramento Kings continue to be very stupid. But the Cavaliers passing on Dončić and losing LeBron James in the same summer? This has the potential to blow up in their faces in a major way.

As they look to rebuild in the wake of LeBron leaving again, that’s the last thing they need.

Axios: Draft admin proposal would allow Trump to ignore key WTO principles .
A draft of a bill from the Trump administration would propose having the US abandon key World Trade Organization principles and offer President Donald Trump significantly more discretion over US trade policy, Axios reported Sunday. Trump ordered the draft legislation and was briefed on it in May, Axios reported, citing sources familiar with the situation, and the report said most officials involved in crafting the proposal believe it is "unrealistic or unworkable." White House spokeswoman Lindsay Walters told Axios that the leaked draft is not "actual legislation that the administration was preparing to rollout.
