Report: Seahawks, Bennett agree to 3-year, $31.5M contract
The Seattle Seahawks and defensive end Michael Bennett agreed to a three-year contract extension, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Terms of the deal were not disclosed by the Seahawks, but it was revealed that Bennett signed a contract worth $31.5 million, with $17.5 million guaranteed.
All that matters for the Detroit Lions is that they’re a playoff team. But with some people thinking a Lions upset of the Seattle Seahawks is possible out West, this might make them pump the brakes. Devin Hester signing with Seahawks for NFL playoffs
As teams get ready for the NFL playoffs, the Seattle Seahawks decided to bring in return guru Devin Hester, according to Jay Glazer. The team’s regular return guy, Tyler Lockett, was placed on IR last week following a broken leg that needs offseason surgery.Hester was waived by the Baltimore Ravens after less than a full season with the team. It wasn’t a great season, with blame on lingering hamstring injuries and practice reps. The 34-year-old had five fumbles and only averaged 7.2 yards per punt return.

Let's also throw in that the Lions' strength of schedule heading into 2016 was tied for 27th strongest in the league, so maybe we should have seen a playoff spot was possible.
You can certainly argue "any given Sunday" - or in this case, a Saturday - but that at least doesn't give me a lot of faith that the Lions can pull off an upset.

Report: Seahawks could lose 2nd-rounder for not disclosing Sherman injury .
The Seattle Seahawks could lose a second-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft as punishment for failing to disclose star cornerback Richard Sherman's MCL injury during the season, reports Chris Mortensen of ESPN. Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll revealed Monday that Sherman had played through the knee injury for the second half of the season.
