''I just kind of started to roll again,'' said Torres, the first player from Puerto Rico to get an LPGA Tour card. ''It's something new and it's exciting (to lead).''

Top-ranked Sung Hyun Park (71) was at 6 over and looked sure to miss the projected cut by three shots.

Starting early in the rain as co-leader, Torres made bogeys on her first two holes before settling in with three birdies in the next five at the Evian Resort Golf Club.

Carlota Ciganda, who also shot a 65 on Thursday, birdied her first hole on Friday to get to 7 under but still was on the course.

Hall, last month's Women's British Open champion, played in a stellar group of the past three majors winners with Park and second-ranked Ariya Jutanugarn (73).

American amateur Rachel Heck, who is only 16 years old, shot a 73 to get to 1 over 143, which should be enough to make the cut.
