Simmons shines in 76ers' 113-92 win over Hawks The Philadelphia 76ers flashed a little of last year's playoff form in a 113-92 win over the Atlanta Hawks.

The Warriors have suspended forward Draymond Green for Tuesday night’s game against the Hawks at Oracle Arena for “conduct detrimental to the team,” the team announced.

The decision to bench Green came after the team reviewed video from a heated confrontation between Green and Kevin Durant at the end of regulation of Tuesday night’s overtime loss to the Clippers.

Instead of finding Durant for a game-winning shot, Green dribbled upcourt and lost control of the ball without taking a shot. TV cameras caught Green and Durant yelling at each other on the bench during the ensuing team huddle.

Green challenged Durant about his impending free agency and called him a “b----” repeatedly, according to a league source who was unauthorized to speak publicly on the incident. Not pleased with Green’s handling of the situation, the Warriors decided it warranted a one-game suspension without pay.

After Golden State fell 121-116 to the Clippers in overtime, multiple teammates confronted Green about his decision to keep the ball in the waning seconds of regulation, according to the league source. The confrontation didn’t turn physical, but Green adamantly defended his choice.

General manager Bob Myers will address media at 5:35 p.m. about Green’s suspension, 10 minutes before head coach Steve Kerr’s standard availability.
