NFL fines Bills' Jerry Hughes $53K for yelling at official
Buffalo defensive end Jerry Hughes was fined $53,482 by the NFL on Saturday for confronting an official in the tunnel after the Bills-Dolphins game last weekend. Hughes accused the official of calling him a vulgar name. ''I'll catch you. I'll catch you, guaranteed,'' Hughes shouted, waving his index finger, as he was pulled away by Bills officials. Hughes later declined to elaborate on the reason for his anger, saying, ''I lost the game, so I am supposed to be angry.'' The league also fined Tennessee left tackle Taylor Lewan $26,739 for yelling at referee Jerome Boger and his crew after the Jets-Titans game.

The Washington Redskins and Tennessee Titans might not have provided many sparks on the field on Saturday night, but two starters clashed after the completion of the matchup.
Redskins cornerback Josh Norman threw his helmet at Titans offensive tackle Taylor Lewan after standing up from the bench., which posted a video of the encounter, Lewan told Norman to "get the (expletive) out of my stadium" after the Titans' 19-16 win.

The New York Giants routed the Redskins 40-16 Sunday to effectively end Washington's already-slim playoff hopes. Lewan also responded to the helmet throw by mimicking Norman's bow-and-arrow celebration.
Lewan said after the game that he believed Norman had tried to injure Titans running back Derrick Henry on the final drive.

"That’s not the way football’s supposed to be played, man," Lewan said. "It’s not our fault you’re not relevant anymore.”
The result pushed Tennessee to 9-6 while dropping Washington to 7-8
