Free agent Manny Machado has people wondering if a recent Instagram post might be a clue about where he will eventually sign.

In a since deleted post, Machado posted an Instagram video with Chicago White Sox baby shoes. Jon Heyman of Fan Cred Sports posted it to Twitter.

Ordinarily, this wouldn’t even be worth mentioning. Yonder Alonso is, indeed, a member of the White Sox and wears No. 17. This could be nothing more than Machado being a proud uncle.

But we can’t quite ignore that Chicago has been named as a possible destination all offseason. Recent reports have even indicated that Machado signing with the White Sox isn’t just possible, but likely.

Whether it’s a hint for his future MLB home remains to be seen. But the longer he remains unsigned, the more people will read into things like this.
