Report: Several NFL execs believe Kyler Murray will be first-round pick There are plenty of question marks surrounding Kyler Murray as an NFL quarterback, but the way scouts view him is not nearly as important as the way team executives feel about the former Oklahoma star. For that reason, Murray still has a great shot at being taken in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft. Jason Cole of FanSided spoke with six NFL executives who believe there’s a good chance Murray will be a first-round pick. However, he will obviously have to commit to playing football before any team invests that much in him. I talked to 6 NFL execs who think Kyler Murray is a possible first round pick.

Drew Henson was Kyler Murray before Kyler Murray . And as Murray ' s impending early entry into the NFL draft following his Heisman Trophy-winning season at Oklahoma further complicates his football vs. baseball decision, the stakeholders in his career are trying to better understand the true strength

Kyler Murray ' s size will have a huge impact on his NFL Draft stock. So how tall is he, anyway? While some predict Murray could be a first-round draft pick, others anticipate he may go in the Well, Mike Houck, Oklahoma’s assistant athletics director for strategic communications, took issue with that

Concerns about the height of a quarterback are often overblown, as evidenced by the success of players like Drew Brees, Russell Wilson, and Baker Mayfield. But would-be franchise quarterback Kyler Murray presents concerns not only as to his height, but also as to his overall size.

On the Thursday of Super Bowl week in Atlanta, both Wilson and Murray visited the set of PFT Live. Neither is tall, but Wilson has an overall bulk that Murray simply doesn’t. When seeing both of them in person only a couple of hours apart, it’s a jarring difference.

Murray is thin and slight. He’s small. He looks young, too young to play college football much less pro football. While he may be sufficiently elusive and durable to survive an NFL pounding, it’s a concern that will need to be resolved by teams considering him in the draft.

A’s still unsure if Kyler Murray will report to training camp

A’s still unsure if Kyler Murray will report to training camp Position players are scheduled to report to training camp on Friday with the Oakland A’s , and the team is still uncertain if first-round pick Kyler Murray will be among them. According to Carrie Muskat of The Associated Press, Murray has a locker and a No. 73 jersey waiting for him at Oakland’s facility. However, the A’s do not know if Murray intends to report to camp later this week, and general manager David Frost said Sunday that team executives have been in contact with the former Oklahoma star’s family.

Kyler Murray ' s Height May Worry NFL Teams, but His College Career Shows It Shouldn't. Then he just sees all. And how’s that working out?) So Murray ’ s height isn’t as big of an issue as we ’ re Murray ’ s height won’t affect his ability to do that. I am curious to see—should he choose to go to the

Kyler Cole Murray (born August 7, 1997) is an American collegiate football and baseball player, who plays for the Oklahoma Sooners. He previously played college football for the Texas A&M Aggies.

Wilson increased his muscle mass after entering the NFL, and Murray could do the same. However, Murray’s frame could limit how much he can add without otherwise affecting his abilities.

Obviously, my opinion on this doesn’t mean anything. (Does acknowledging it make it any better?) But scouts, coaches, executives, etc. will notice the overall size difference between Murray and other quarterbacks, and they’ll have to resolve that issue before making a final decision on whether to draft him and, if so, in which round.

Then there’s the question of whether Murray will fold under questioning. While he handled his PFT Live interview well, he had an awkward moment the next day with Dan Patrick. Teams will want to test his supposed commitment to football; what he says will be as important as how he says it.

A’s not giving up on Kyler Murray, which could complicate his NFL prospects

A’s not giving up on Kyler Murray, which could complicate his NFL prospects When it comes to Kyler Murray’s commitment to football, actions will speak much more loudly than words. The problem for the NFL team that picks Murray could be that his ultimate action — a return to baseball — comes only after a draft choice has been squandered on him. Yes, Murray says he’s fully committed to football. But with the A’s still committed to pursuing Murray, Murray’s commitment can flip back to baseball just as quickly as his commitment flipped away from it. Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports that the Oakland A’s remain determined to sign Murray to a baseball contract.

With Kyler Murray it is all about production, and you could argue, there is no other quarterback in this class as productive as he is on the ground and through the air. He is a precision passer with timing and anticipation within the pocket to get the ball out of his hand, which also lets him see the field better.

Report: NFL teams concerned about Kyler Murray’s father.
As Kyler Murray prepares for the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine, teams interested in potentially drafting him have concerns about his father. Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reported Tuesday morning that teams are also not sure if Murray truly is 100-percent committed to the NFL. They wonder if he’ll just want to fall back on baseball if he struggles or does not land a starting job. Any NFL team thinking of drafting Kyler Murray is going to want to spend time with his father/QB coach Kevin Murray, who told me Kyler is calling the shots on his own career … and reiterated he’s all-in on football. @[email protected]
