Physical therapist shares extent of LeBron James' groin injury LeBron James will not be in the playoffs for the first time in nearly a decade and a half, but he probably deserves kudos for even making it back onto the court this season in the first place. In a post to Instagram this weekend, Dr. Karen Joubert, a Beverly Hills-based physical therapist who worked with the Los Angeles Lakers star in his rehab from a major groin injury, shared the extent of what James dealt with. Joubert wrote in her post that the injury should have kept The King sidelined for six months and that he endured “pain, pain, pain.

The Golden State Warriors won big in Los Angeles against the Lakers on Thursday night, cutting their magic number for the top seed in the Western Conference down to two with four games left to play on the schedule.

The win was only the second biggest topic of conversation about the game, though. During a timeout during the second quarter, Kevin Durant wandered over to the Lakers bench and had a private conversation with LeBron James about who knows what.

With both men covering their mouths, knowing the entire world would try and read their lips, it appeared as if both James and Durant were having a light-hearted conversation filled with a few laughs.

When asked about the conversation, Durant said, "Everybody wants to know what we're talking about. It wasn't even that serious. Just laughing and joking and catching up."

Both guys had to know that a moment like this would blow up on social media and the blogs. Durant is set to be an unrestricted free agent this summer and the Lakers just happen to have space for a max-level player like Durant.

Following the Lakers disappointing season and knowing that James is going to do everything he can to bring in another blue chip ball player to turn the Lakers franchise around, this is the exact kind of moment that is going to lead to months of speculation.

"Everybody is so interested, especially in LeBron. So whoever he talks to, the lipreaders are going to try to figure that out," Durant said about the moment. "You guys are infatuated with that whole thing. It's fun. People try to figure it out."

Kevin Durant fires back at Richard Jefferson’s on-air criticism

Kevin Durant fires back at Richard Jefferson’s on-air criticism Kevin Durant just saw it live and he won’t be silent, sorry. During Sunday’s game between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the San Antonio Spurs, retired NBA swingman Richard Jefferson, who is now a commentator, took a shot at Durant and the Golden State Warriors. Jefferson criticized the Dubs for bringing in the four-time scoring champion after losing to Cleveland in the 2016 Finals, comparing it to getting beaten in a street fight and coming back with your older brother. Durant caught wind of Jefferson’s remarks and replied in an Instagram comment by simply saying, “Everybody from the streets now.” No burner this time? @KDTrey5#NBApic.twitter.

If we had to guess, there probably wasn't much said in the moment. If all of the reporting on Durant's future is accurate, Durant is going to end up in New York next season anyway.

It's fun to talk and speculate about, though. Durant didn't seem too bothered about the questions, which is always a good thing, too.
