Pistons star Blake Griffin, who sat out Detroit's NBA playoff loss Sunday to the Bucks with a sore left knee, isn't expected to play at all in the first round Eastern Conference series, Yahoo Sports reported early Monday, citing unidentified sources.

Given that the top-seeded Bucks blasted the eighth-seeded Pistons, 121-86, to open the series, it's not a stretch to say that if the report is accurate, then it looks likely that Griffin's standout season is over.

Griffin, 30, has battled the sprained knee for several weeks, and it was so bothersome that he didn't play in Detroit's regular-season finale, a game the Pistons had to win to reach the playoffs for only the second time in a decade.
