Police arrest man after shots were fired near a Germantown school.
Germantown police arrested a man at his home near Kennedy Middle School Wednesday morning following what officers called an "active shooter" situation. Investigators said the man, who is in his 70s, fired several shots at his home on Williams Drive near Pilgrim Road. Police told WISN 12 News no one was injured but when officers approached the man, he had two guns, one in each hand. "It's very tense because when the officer started talking with him, a shot was fired, so we're working on that as part of the investigation: if he was shooting at officers," Police Chief Peter Hoell said.
