Report: Michigan QB Peters enters transfer portal

Report: Michigan QB Peters enters transfer portal Michigan redshirt junior quarterback Brandon Peters has entered the transfer portal, Cole Cubelic of the SEC Network reports. Peters plans to graduate this spring, which would make him eligible to play during the 2019 season as a graduate transfer, and he'll have two years of eligibility remaining. A former four-star quarterback and No. 60 overall recruit, Peters appeared to be behind presumed starter Shea Patterson and redshirt sophomore Dylan McCaffrey during spring practices. The Indiana native started three games in 2017, but only saw action in two contests last season, completing one of two passes. Copyright © 2019 Score Media Ventures Inc. All rights reserved.

Chipper Jones hilariously recounts the time he took hitting advice from an announcer (Video) Back when Jon “Boog” Sciambi was working as a play-by-play man for the Atlanta Braves, he had a suggestion for Chipper Jones. Sciambi noticed that Jones, who was in the latter stages of his Hall of Fame career, was swinging at a lot of first pitches, even though most of them weren’t strikes. He relayed that to Jones before a game against the San Diego Padres in 2009. Jones told him that the first pitch was likely the only time he’d see a fastball all at-bat, so it was better for him to be aggressive. Nonetheless, Jones took Sciambi’s advice.

Stars say Ben Bishop is fine after injury scare, X-rays were precautionary.
The Dallas Stars insist goalie Ben Bishop is fine despite his injury scare on Sunday. Bishop took a puck to the collarbone during the third period of Game 6 of the Western Conference semifinals between his Stars and the St. Louis Blues. While he was down and clearly dealing with an injury, the Blues scored to increase their lead to 3-1. Bishop was visited by the team’s trainer and remained in the game before later being replaced by Anton Khudobin. His Stars went on to lose 4-1 to even the series 3-3. After the game, Bishop underwent X-rays that turned up negative. The tests were described as precautionary by Stars head coach Jim Montgomery, who said Bishop is fine.
