Might a Fab Five homecoming be in order for Michigan basketball?

One off-shore betting website has that scenario as the favorite when it comes to the Wolverines' coaching search.

With John Beilein moving on to take the top job on the bench with the Cleveland Cavaliers, a couple of websites have posted odds on who'll be the next coach at U-M.

BetOnline.AG lists Juwan Howard, the center for the iconic Fab Five who is reportedly interviewing for the Minnesota Timberwolves head coaching job, as the favorite at 3-to-1.

Speaking of Howard, ESPN college basketball analyst Jay Williams tweeted on Monday that "Howard needs to be the next coach" at U-M to "bring back the culture of that program."

Williams took some heat on social media and later replied by saying: "'culture' is a look, a feel, the feeling those Fab 5 teams had. ... Yes, they have been winning but you can't tell me it's been the same FEEL."

Howard is followed by Billy Donovan, the current Oklahoma City Thunder coach who won back-to-back national titles at Florida, at 7-to-2. Bobby Hurley, the former Duke star who now coaches at Arizona State, and Mike White, the current coach at Florida, are both 5-to-1.

And then there's Bovada.lv, which lists Texas Tech coach Chris Beard as the favorite at 11-to-4.

Then, at 19-to-4, it's Rick Pitino.

No, not his son, Richard, who coaches at Minnesota. But Rick Pitino, who's practically blackballed out of college basketball after the scandal(s) at Louisville marred his otherwise Hall of Fame coaching career.

Pitino, 66, was very close to coaching U-M in 2001. But don't hold your breath on U-M athletic director Warde Manuel interviewing the head coach of Panathinaikos of the Greek Basket League.
