SportBrowns' Garrett pays for man’s iPhone at Apple Store
Valve's Steam Link game-streaming app launches on iOS
Debut comes a year after Apple rejected the app for "business conflicts."
Cleveland Browns star defensive end Myles Garrett was simply a bystander as a 27-year-old man by the name of JJ Remmy was attempting to replace his broken iPhone.
Showing his altruistic ways as the Ohio Apple Store, Garrett overheard a conversation that included the young man indicating he couldn’t afford to pay the $116.00 for a new phone.
What did Garrett do? Well, he paid for the phone and helped the young man avoid having to walk out of the store without one.
“I literally almost broke down man,” Remmy said,. “I had no cash. Spent the rest of my money getting my title for my car.”
Apple's 2020 iPhones could have full-screen Touch ID
Apple's smartphones could also come with OLED screens from LG by next year, a report says.
Now that is one heck of a story right there. At a time when most off-field news surrounding NFL players, Garrett stepped into the spotlight to show us all is not lost around the football world.
Garrett signed a four-year, $30 million rookie deal with Cleveland after they made him the No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. It’s not like he’s going to miss the $116.00. But it sure helped a less-fortunate Remmy.
