Massive marina fire destroys part of popular resort in Kentucky Huge fire destroys parts of a popular Conley Bottom Resort on Lake Cumberland in Kentucky early Monday, CBS affiliate WKYT-TV reports. The blaze started around 2:30 a.m. at the Conley Bottom Resort. Video sent to the station by viewers shows large flames coming from the marina. Firefighters said there were no reports of any injuries. Freddie Piercy, co-owner of the marina, told WKYT the fire destroyed the store and café. A houseboat used by the marina was also damaged. Oakland grad transfer Jaevin Cumberland signed with Cincinnati, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.

Cumberland reportedly visited U-M earlier this offseason and was considering the Wolverines, among others. As a graduate transfer, he will be eligible to play immediately for the Bearcats.

Cumberland started all 33 games for Oakland last season, emerging as a talented shooter. He averaged 17.2 points and 3.5 assists while shooting 39.9% on 8.3 3-point attempts per game. Cumberland would've projected as a 2-guard for the Wolverines.

He joins Justin Pierce, who picked North Carolina in May, as a grad transfer who considered Michigan before picking another school this offseason.

U-M still has three open scholarships for the 2019-20 season, with limited options at this stage of the offseason. The Wolverines lost last season's three leading scorers to the NBA draft, and 4-star Jalen Wilson — the program's top signee in the class of 2019 — received a release from his letter of intent following former coach John Beilein's departure.
