Report: Texans will pursue Patriots’ Caserio for GM job

Report: Texans will pursue Patriots’ Caserio for GM job The Houston Texans on Friday fired Brian Gaine as GM after one season on the job.

Behind Enemy Lines is a 2001 American war film directed by John Moore in his directorial debut, and starring Owen Wilson and Gene Hackman.

The Patriots attempted to explain it after the loss. It' s a question that will linger over the New England Patriots for the next several days: Why was Rob Gronkowski on the field for the final play in the Miami Miracle? But with the Dolphins having the ball at their own 31-yard line , a Hail Mary was unlikely.

The retirement of any future Hall of Fame player will leave a gaping hole in the starting lineup. But in the case of the New England Patriots and Rob Gronkowski, things have been especially messy as the Patriots have searched for a candidate to step into Gronk's role in the Patriots offense.

Gronkowski announced his retirement this offseason at the age of 29, his laundry list of injuries slowing him to a shadow of his former self over the last few years. But 75% of Gronkowski is better than just about everyone else in the game - and Gronk did a tremendous amount for the Patriots not just as a receiver but as a blocker down the stretch. Pass protection, sealing the edge, resetting the line of scrimmage, attacking the seam - much of what the Patriots were able to do on offense was because they had a tight end like Gronkowski in their back pocket.

Searching for even an heir apparent has been sloppy. The Patriots signed tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins back on April 10th - a move that placed the former Buc, Jet and Jaguar atop the team's depth chart. Remember, not only did the Patriots lose Gronkowski, but veteran TE Dwayne Allen jumped ship to Miami this offseason as well. A month later, the Patriots signed 38-year old veteran Benjamin Watson, who started his career with the Patriots near the beginning of the current dynasty (2004).

Watson played last season in New Orleans and had initially, like Gronkowski, decided to call it a career. But when the Patriots came calling, Watson decided to give things one more go.

Less than three weeks later, it was announced Watson was suspended for the first 4-games of 2019 for a violation of the NFL's performance enhancing drugs policy. Watson admitted to taking substances on the league's prohibited list, stating that he took them to help his body heal when he was under the impression that he was done playing pro football.

Patriots file tampering charges against Texans over attempted Nick Caserio hire On Wednesday, the Patriots filed tampering charges against the Texans for their attempted hire of Nick Caserio as their next general manager, according to Adam Schefter of

DEFENSIVE LINE COMPARISON The Patriots struggled to stop the run, and while many blamed a switch to a 3-4 defense and the line , just as much blame can be placed on the linebackers, who failed to effectively fill their gaps and fend off blockers at the second level. A week later, the Patriots' reinforced tight end room took another hit - the team unceremoniously cut Seferian-Jenkins, just two months after he signed.

With Seferian-Jenkins gone and Watson suspended, the Patriots were forced to search for a 'Plan C' insurance policy and believed they'd found one in the Lions' Michael Roberts. It was announced that the team struck a deal to trade for Roberts just a few days ago.

Less than 24 hours later, the deal was nixed - Roberts had failed his physical. Roberts was shipped back to Detroit, where the Lions cut him. The Green Bay Packers claimed the young tight end on waivers, ensuring the Patriots wouldn't get their insurance policy.

As things stand now, the Patriots will be without Watson for the first month of the 2019 regular season, leaving Matt LaCosse, Stephen Anderson, Ryan Izzo, rookie Andrew Beck and Jakob Johnson to sort out the rest. The Dolphins will get a front row seat, as they play the Patriots this week in Week 2.

Patriots' trade for Lions TE Roberts voided

Patriots' trade for Lions TE Roberts voided The New England Patriots appeared to make a roster move earlier this week that would bring them some much-needed tight end depth.

The plot for Behind Enemy Lines is more jingoistic than credible, and the overload of flashy visual tricks makes the action sequences resemble a video game. The filmmakers do their best to distract us, but eventually it becomes hard to ignore that Behind Enemy Lines is one long chase sequence.

Adam Schefter says Rob Gronkowski ' s injuries took a toll on his body, and he wanted to enter the next phase of his life. I might put legendary Pats offensive line coach Dante Scarnecchia ahead of any individual offensive lineman. Everyone just saw Gronkowski get open to save the Patriots ' season.
