When the United States women's national team announced the starting lineup for the team's Tuesday match against England, a notable name was missing: Megan Rapinoe, who had scored all four of the U.S. team's knockout round goals against Spain and France.

We now have some insight as to why Rapinoe is not on the field for the USWNT's match vs. England in the Women's World Cup semifinal. Fox Sports host Rob Stone said on air during halftime that Rapinoe has a reported hamstring injury.

While the loss certainly stings, especially as it relates to the USWNT's offensive capability, the U.S. managed to take a 2-1 lead at the half.

There's no word if Rapinoe will be able to suit up for the U.S. in its next match — either in the bronze or gold medal match.
