Gordon's agent, Fletcher Smith, has informed Los Angeles that unless he receives a new contract, he will not report to training camp and will demand a trade, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Tom Pelissero of NFL Network confirmed Schefter's report.

Last year, Le'Veon Bell sat out the whole season because he had demanded a big contract from the Pittsburgh Steelers and didn't receive it. Bell became a free agent this offseason and signed with the Jets.

Gordon, who was the No. 15 overall pick of the 2015 NFL draft, is entering the final year of his rookie contract, which calls for him to earn $5.6 million this season.

Gordon has been eligible to sign an extension for more than a year, but general manager Tom Telesco said this offseason that there was no timeline.

His durability has been the biggest concern and may be the one thing holding the team back from giving him a large contract. He tore his ACL during his rookie season and has dealt with injury every season since then, causing him to miss a total of nine games in his career.

‘On My Block’ Season 3 In Limbo Over Cast Contract Renegotiation Impasse

‘On My Block’ Season 3 In Limbo Over Cast Contract Renegotiation Impasse Just like the case of 13 Reasons Why last summer, it is getting down to the wire for the core cast of a popular Netflix teen series to complete salary renegotiations going into Season 3. About two weeks before the cast of coming-of-age comedy On My Block is scheduled to convene for the first Season 3 table read, the series’ lead quartet Sierra Capri, Jason Genao, Brett Gray and Diego Tinoco are still at a standstill with Netflix in their salary renegotiation talks, with the two sides very far apart.

Gordon 's agent told ESPN that his client will not report to training camp unless the Chargers give him a new contract . If not, the running back will demand a trade .

Melvin Gordon told the Chargers organization pay me or trade me and that he will not show up to training camp, unless he has a new contract . This week our NFL analyst Jakob Vaughan gives us breaking news on Melvin Gordon , who has demanded to be traded or paid.

There's no denying that the Bolts have a more dynamic offense when he is on the field, but they have proved that they can win without him. Last season showcased just that as Los Angeles was able to maintain a solid backfield with Austin Ekeler, Justin Jackson and Detrez Newsome.
