Jon Jones is facing a battery charge stemming from an alleged incident at a strip club in April, but the UFC light heavyweight champion apparently wasn't aware of it until Sunday.

According to a report from TV news station KRQE in Albuquerque, N.M., where Jones lives, Jones allegedly had a forceful encounter with a cocktail waitress at TD's Eubank Showclub. In a police report, the woman accuses Jones, 32, of slapping her in her private area, pulling her to his lap to kiss her neck, placing her in "a tight rear-naked choke hold," and picking her up off the ground. When she asked Jones to stop, she alleges he continued touching her until he left the strip club.

"However, after receiving the documents from the press, Mr. Jones immediately went to pay the small fee, and he, and multiple witnesses, stand ready to factually refute the malicious lies being told about him to the public."
