He's avoided putting much stock into any of it. However, he'll be hearing plenty of buzz about his performance Friday in the 100-meter finals of the USA Track and Field Outdoor Championships at Drake Stadium.

"The media puts out stories that this guy's the guy to beat, this guy's the fastest in the world," Coleman said. "I don’t know. I don’t really pay attention to it. I just treat every race the same. I just keep grinding, keep working and try to officially become the fastest man in the world come the end of September in Doha."

The 22-year-old Daniels also beat defending champion Aleia Hobbs.

"I’ve just got to keep this momentum going," Daniels said.
