Police open investigation into Ezekiel Elliott’s security guard altercation

Police open investigation into Ezekiel Elliott’s security guard altercation The security guard who was allegedly assaulted by Ezekiel Elliott at a concert in Las Vegas back in May is pressing charges, and police have opened an investigation into the incident. A representative for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police told TMZ that Kyle Johnson contacted the department informing them he was the victim of battery from Elliott. The incident is currently under investigation. Johnson, 19, was knocked to the ground during a dispute at the Electric Daisy Carnival on May 19. Video footage appeared to show Elliott making contact with Johnson and causing him to fall into a metal barrier.

Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott is reportedly leaving the country as the Cowboys start training camp in five days. This will certainly complicate contract negotiations between the team and himself. A holdout is looking more likely from Elliott before the start of camp.

"Running back Ezekiel Elliott may or may not be there," Florio wrote Sunday. Elliott has made enough money where he can schedule a quick trip out of the country before the season starts. There's a fairly simple solution out there to get Gordon under contract if the Chargers are willing to

Elliott has made the training trek to Baja California Sur before, most notably during his six-game suspension in 2017. That time, however, Elliott was unable to use the Cowboys’ facilities.

The team apparently didn’t take the news of the trip well, either. Members of the front office reportedly thought the trip was “not a good look,” according to Slater, and are still committed to getting the running back to training camp in Southern California as soon as possible.

The Cowboys face a tricky off-season in re-negotiating contracts as they have several stars looking to extend their current deals on improved terms. However, they still have franchise quarterback Prescott, potential Hall of Famer running back Ezekiel Elliott and star wide receiver Amari Cooper still

Dallas tendered a “solid offer” to Elliott on Monday, too, according to USA Today’s Jori Epstein, though has yet to hear back. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, however, made it clear that he isn’t willing to overpay for the running back to remain in Dallas.

“The point there is, you don’t have to have a rushing champion to win a Super Bowl,” Jones said Monday. “Emmitt (Smith) was the first one to do it. That’s one of the dilemmas at running back is that the league knows you can win Super Bowls and not have the Emmitt Smith back there or not have Zeke back there.”

With Elliott now south of the border, it’s looks like he’s in no immediate rush to join his team at training camp. He’s prepared to wait for the deal he wants.
