Ezekiel Elliott is out of sight from the Dallas Cowboys, but not out of mind.
Quarterback Dak Prescott admitted that Elliott texts him daily as the running back holds out in search of a new contract, and that Elliott is doing work away from training camp.

At last report, Elliottas he avoided Cowboys’ training camp. There don’t seem to be any hard feelings between him and Prescott as the running back does what he feels he needs to do. Ownership , but the quarterback isn’t, even as there’s no end in sight here.

The Cowboys won three Super Bowls with Emmitt Smith as their top running back and Smith was the leading rusher in the NFL in each of those seasons. One might assume that would work in Ezekiel Elliott‘s favor when it comes to hammering out a new deal with the team.
