AFP’s Tom Allnut reports Barcelona director Guillermo Amor has confirmed the loan deal. Sky Sports in Germany also reported the deal.

The 27-year-old attacking midfielder, who has fallen out of favor at Barcelona and didn’t make Friday’s squad for the La Liga opener, will travel to Germany on Sunday to complete the move.

Coutinho’s move to Munich could complicate Barcelona’s reported pursuit of Neymar, as Coutinho was believed to be one of the players Barca would make available to Paris Saint-Germain in a deal.
