Man banned by Browns for beer-dumping incident claims he wasn't at game The strange saga involving how a Cleveland Browns fan dumped beer on a handful of celebrating Tennessee Titans players took another bizarre turn when the man identified as the offender claims to have not attended a game since 2010. © Scott R. Galvin-USA TODAY SportsThe incident occurred after Malcolm Butler’s pick-six during the Titans’ 43-13 blowout win over the host Browns. As Titans players celebrated, a Browns fan wearing a Baker Mayfield jersey seated nearby was caught on camera dousing them with beer. The Browns announced Tuesday that the fan in question, once identified, would be banned indefinitely from FirstEnergy Stadium.

It has not been the best week in headlines for Cleveland sports, and that is referring to the personal/emotional aspect of it. Everyone heard the shocking news on Tuesday about Cavaliers announcer Fred McLeod passing away. Wednesday morning, news hit the Cleveland Browns, as the girlfriend of DE Chris Smith, Petara Cordero, was killed in a car accident on I-90 West.

Owners Dee and Jimmy Haslam released the following statement:

“Words cannot describe the sorrow we feel for Chris following the loss of his girlfriend, Petara. Our entire organization mourns with Chris, his family and the Cordero family. We will do everything possible to offer them our support, comfort and any resources in this most difficult time.”

Browns' Week 1 meltdown vs. Titans exactly what this team needs

Browns' Week 1 meltdown vs. Titans exactly what this team needs The Browns were taught a painful, valuable lesson in their 43-13 defeat against Tennessee. If they respond correctly, they'll be better for having learned it early.

Many Clevelanders who were driving to work this morning probably her about the accident, before knowing who was involved. When I left my house this morning, I heard about the highway being closed from W. 117th to W. 140th, and I could see two helicopters hovering over the scene for at least 20 minutes.

Smith was excused from the Browns’ second preseason game this year so that he could attend the birth of their daughter. Browns head coach Freddie Kitchens visited Smith’s home earlier today, and the team says it will have counselors onsite throughout the week to provide emotional support and care to all players and staff.

Watch: Browns fan falls off top of van during tailgate in terrifying moment.
We don't have to describe the sheer beauty of football fans around the country tailgating in celebration of the NFL's long-awaited return. However, what recently transpired on Sunday at a Cleveland Browns pre-game party is genuinely difficult to watch. A fan was standing atop a van when he appeared to lose track of his surroundings and came crashing to the ground. WARNING: it was a nasty-looking landing as the man unfortunately had nothing to brace his fall. YOOOOO!!!! ?— NFL Memes (@NFL_Memes) September 8, 2019 Horrific.
