And just like that football is back in our lives as the Tampa Bay Bucs will face the Carolina Panthers tonight in Charlotte.

Sure, it's a battle of winless teams but whatever, we'll take it.

Week 2 is always a pivotal week for winless teams, as stats show that an 0-2 start to the season makes going to the playoffs really hard to accomplish. It's far from the end of the world if you do go to 0-2 but you're much better off avoiding that type of dreadful start, for many reasons.

Every week in the NFL is important -- some are just more important than others. Here are the teams most desperate for a win in Week 5 . 5 . Kansas City Chiefs: No one expects the It's not too late for them to get their season turned around after their best performance of the year last week against the

Let's break down the five 0-1 teams that are the most desperate for a win this week.

1. Cleveland Browns

Baker Mayfield, Odell Beckham Jr,. and Co. really need to bounce back from their dreadful Week 1 loss to the Titans when they travel to MetLife Stadium to face the New York Jets, who are also 0-1. A blowout win on national TV could be just what the Browns need to forget about Week 1 and get back to looking like the team that lots of people picked to do big things this season. An 0-2 start would just be really ugly.

2. Pittsburgh Steelers

Speaking of teams coming off an embarrassing Week 1 loss, the Steelers never even put up a fight in their 33-3 loss to the New England Patriots last Sunday night. Now they host a Seahawks team that beat the Bengals last week and has a ton of talent on both sides of the ball. This game could show us who the Steelers really are, for better or worse. With the 1-0 Baltimore Ravens hosting the Cardinals, AFC North teams don't want to fall too far behind too early. The Steelers need a win at home to right the ship. A loss would bring in a ton of doubts for a team that got absolutely manhandled in Week 1.

3. Chicago Bears

The Bears have so many question marks after their 10-3 loss to the Packers on opening night, with none being bigger than the play of their QB, Mitch Trubisky. The third-year QB was awful against the Packers and needs to bounce back in Denver or this fan base could start turning on him even more. The Broncos didn't look great in their Week 1 loss to the Raiders, but playing in Denver is never easy so this should be a tough test for Chicago. The Bears need a win here and Trubisky needs to step it up.

4. Atlanta Falcons

Matt Ryan and the Falcons got destroyed by the Vikings in Week 1, losing 28-12 on the road in a game that they were never in. The NFC South tends to be a logjam at the top between the Saints, Panthers, and Falcons, so they don't want to lose any more ground this early in the season. And it doesn't get any easier for them this week as they host Carson Wentz and the Eagles. Things could get ugly in hurry in Atlanta.

5. Carolina Panthers

Cam Newton and the Panthers had the tough task of hosting the defending NFC champion Rams in Week 1 and fell just short, losing 30-27. The Panthers are fortunate to face the Bucs tonight, because Jameis Winston and Co. looked awful in their Week 1 loss at home to the 49ers.

The other 0-1 teams not mentioned here are pretty much doomed already.

More questionable decisions from Mickey Callaway don’t do desperate Mets any favors against Rockies

More questionable decisions from Mickey Callaway don’t do desperate Mets any favors against Rockies DENVER — One would hope, this late in the season, we’re not still discussing questionable managerial decisions that had an impact on the outcome of a Mets game. Alas, with the season on the line, manager Mickey Callaway again made some head-scratching moves during the Mets’ 9-4 loss to the Rockies in the series opener on Monday. The Mets (77-73) dropped five games behind the last Wild Card spot with their third loss in four days. The Cubs (82-68) beat the Reds, 8-2, and the Brewers (81-69) downed the Padres, 5-1. With 12 games remaining in the regular season, the Mets have have limited opportunities to make up ground.

Commentary: Why is Trump so desperate to make California's air more polluted?.
Well, President Donald Trump huffed and puffed and now, finally, he's getting on with his efforts to blow California's house down. Trump, who has a bizarre desire to increase air pollution in the United States, has for months threatened to withdraw California's authority under the Clean Air Act to set its own limits for auto emissions. And now word comes from Washington that he is indeed seeking to revoke the waiver that allows California to set its own tailpipe emissions standards for cars and light-duty trucks, as it has done for more than five decades. His reason? He doesn’t really have one. It’s mostly out of pique.
