NBA superstar LeBron James has evacuated his California home as wildfires plunged much of the state into an emergency. James had only recently relocated his family to Los Angeles ' Brentwood neighborhood in a million mansion after leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James said he and his family were forced to evacuate their home in Los Angeles due to the wildfires that have engulfed Southern California.

James tweeted early Monday morning that his family was driving around attempting to find a hotel after being evacuated. It was unclear how long James and his family were looking for shelter.

"Man these LA (fires) aren't no joke," James wrote. "Had to emergency evacuate my house and I've been driving around with my family trying to get rooms. No luck so far!"

Less than 10 minutes later James tweeted," finally found a place to accommodate us! Crazy night man!"

James, whose Lakers (2-1) play Tuesday at home against the Memphis Grizzlies, then added on Twitter: "I (pray) for all these families in the area that could be affected by these (wildfires). Pretty please get to safety ASAP."
