The football game between Air Force and New Mexico scheduled for this weekend was postponed following the death of a Lobos defensive lineman . New Mexico announced the death of 21-year-old Nahje Flowers on Tuesday. The university didn't provide a cause or other circumstances.

The game has been rescheduled for Saturday, Nov. 23.

“In light of the circumstances and following a thorough review of all factors, which included multiple conversations with both institutions, the Conference office has determined this is the appropriate course of action,” Mountain West Commissioner Craig Thompson said in a news release announcing the postponement. “Our focus is on the family, friends and teammates who have been affected during this difficult time.”

Coach Bob Davie described Flowers as "a wonderful person and a great teammate." The redshirt junior played in all 24 games in 2017 and 2018, making 11 starts at defensive end last season. He played in six of the Lobos' nine games this season.
