Mahomes update: 'Very realistic chance' Chiefs QB (knee) returns in Week 10 The Chiefs quarterback also "has an outside chance" to play Week 9 against the Vikings after dislocating his knee in Week 7.According to NFL Media, which cited unidentified sources, the Chiefs quarterback "has an outside chance" to play Week 9 against the Vikings and "a very realistic shot" to be on the field in Week 10 against the Titans.

The Chiefs looked like they would be able to put the game away after stopping the Titans on a fourth down deep in their own territory after the two minute warning, but Mahomes took a sack on third Refs blew the whistle and allow Titians to continue to play… Titans were offsides on the blocked kick..

So was the call on the field correct? Despite several replays that appeared to show Slay jumping early, he insists that the refs got the call wrong. The Lions star even went as far to say that the refs "cheated" him by calling him offside on the play . "I wasn't," Slay said of possible being offside

RELATED:  Titans win

The Titans beat the Chiefs 35-32 behind a late touchdown pass from Ryan Tannehill that followed a botched field-goal attempt by Kansas City. The win was secured when Josh Kalu blocked a 53-yard field goal attempt by Harrison Butker as time expired.

Kalu was able to get in so quickly because he got a running start on the snap. His great jump left many wondering whether he was offsides. Take a look.

Kalu definitely got a great jump, and it was very close regarding the potential offside. If he was offside, it was close, not blatant. Several Tennessee media members did not think he was offsides.

That was a game-changing play because the kick was blocked. If you’re a Chiefs fan, you might be upset with the refs over the play, but you're probably are more upset with the unbelievable special teams meltdown.

Chiefs' Mahomes will start Sunday against Titans

Chiefs' Mahomes will start Sunday against Titans Ken Carman unleashes his rage on the Cleveland Browns following a loss to the Denver Broncos.

Chiefs have to pay Patrick Mahomes soon. Replays made clear that the officials were correct to call Darius Slay offside before he blocked the kick, but afterward the Lions couldn’t accept it. Whether Slay and Lawson realize it or not, Slay was offside . In a game with a lot of bad calls, that call was right.

The Titans (5-5) only had a chance to take the lead after a bad snap by the Chiefs on Harrison Butker's fifth field goal attempt of the day. He drove them down, setting up Butker for another field goal try from 52 yards. Joshua Kalu blocked the kick with his left hand, and the Titans poured onto the field
