There has been a lot of talk about the New England Patriots potentially bringing back Antonio Brown with the way their offense has been struggling, but that is reportedly not going to happen.

The Patriots have no plans to re-sign Brown after his first stint with the team lasted less than two weeks, Jeff Howe of The Athletic reports.

New England signed Brown on Sept. 9, which was the day before his former friend and personal trainer Britney Taylor filed a sexual assault lawsuit against him. Brown was then accused of sexual misconduct by a different woman, and the Patriots released him after he sent text messages to the second alleged victim that could be interpreted as threatening in nature.

Brown met with the NFL last week for the first time to share his side of things, and there have been reports that he is now optimistic he could be cleared before the end of the season. Tom Brady has been visibly frustrated with the Patriots’ performance on offense despite their 9-1 record, and they could certainly use Brown on the field. Brady may have even hinted that he wants the team to bring Brown back, but it doesn’t seem like it’s happening.
