Leading the Giants to a 36-20 victory over the Miami Dolphins, Manning was an efficient 20-of-28 passing for 283 yards with two touchdowns. Though he did throw three interceptions, Manning’s last hurrah was full of good memories.

Manning and his family enjoyed a special moment with fans, too, showing just how much this legendary quarterback is cherished for what he’s done as a member of the Giants.

To cap it all off, some New York newspapers put together incredibly classy covers that will be distributed throughout the city on Monday morning.

In 1971, Neil Sheehan, a New York Times reporter in Washington, scored the scoop of a lifetime. Daniel Ellsberg, a former military analyst, had become disillusioned with the Vietnam War and decided to leak a top-secret history of the decision-making behind the conflict.

Though he was often the headliner for less favorable headlines during his career, it’s clear that Manning will be remembered more for the two Super Bowls he brought to the franchise than his late-career struggles.

The Giants are likely going to look into trading Manning this offseason. It will be fascinating to see what comes next for the two-time Super Bowl MVP.

It remains to be seen if Manning has an interest in playing for another team in 2020. He’s clearly not part of the organization’s plans moving forward, thanks to the selection of Daniel Jones with the sixth overall pick of the 2019 NFL Draft.
