According to MLB Network’s Jon Heyman, Hernandez is drawing interest across the league and he is excited to pitch and take advantage of a new opportunity next season.

The 33-year-old struggled during the 2019 season as injuries held him back. He landed on the injured list in May with a shoulder injury and it sidelined him until August.

Across 15 starts this past season, Hernandez recorded a 6.40 ERA and 1.53 WHIP in 71.2 innings. Now, Hernandez is hopeful that a fresh start can help him deliver one more effective season as a pitcher.

Jersey swaps cost NFL players a shocking amount

Jersey swaps cost NFL players a shocking amount Of course, it’s difficult to blame NFL teams for wanting to get their money back when a player gives his jersey away. It takes time to stitch the jerseys together. Given their value, teams are willing to bring the hammer down.Players seemingly know the price and continue to do it. As long as they’re happy to pay the bill, we’ll continue to enjoy the nice moment respect and appreciation players give to one another after a game.

Hernandez might have to settle for a minor-league contract with a team and a chance to compete for a rotation spot in spring training. Turning 34 in April, Hernandez has a career 3.42 ERA. 1.21 WHIP and 2,524 strikeouts across 2,729.2 innings.
