Malone has steadily helped build the Nuggets into a Western Conference contender since taking over in 2015-16. Denver advanced to the second round of the playoffs last season. "His tireless work ethic and passion are clearly reflected in the continued improvement of our roster,” Nuggets president of of basketball operations Tim Connelly said Tuesday in a statement. “We are all extremely excited for him to continue to lead our team as we try to build a championship level organization.

Early last month, Michael Divinity left the LSU football team for what were described as personal reasons. Two weeks later, though, he was back practicing with the team.  However, he hadn’t played in any of the last six games.

A week from Monday, that will change as Ed Orgeron confirmed the linebacker has been cleared.  With that, he’ll be on the field when LSU tangles with Clemson in the College Football Playoff championship game Jan. 13.

Divinity had started 11 games as a true junior in 2018.  This season, despite missing a total of nine games — three early on because of a coach’s decision/injury, six after he left the team — Divinity is still tied for fourth on the Tigers with three sacks.  His three quarterback hits are tied for third on the team.

LSU opened as a 5½-point favorite on Clemson.  That line has since moved to 6½ on a handful of sportsbooks.
