A judge ruled that ICE violated his rights by failing to consider his LGBTQ asylum claim.Oumar Yaide arrived in the U.S. in 2009 and requested political asylum because he was a member of "a disfavored group," a Chadian ethnic group called the Gorane. His asylum application was denied in 2014, and in December 2018 a judge denied his final appeal.

The XFL is coming back! Sure, not until 2020. But in WWE chief Vince McMahon's announcement on Thursday, it was clear he was serious about reviving the failed football league . But it fizzled out amid struggles to differentiate itself from the NFL , if not in the ratings than in fan Rod Smart became a

Johnson was a dominant wideout during his 10 seasons in the NFL, finishing with 11,059 career receiving yards, placing him 36th all-time. Even though he was a six-time Pro Bowler and three-time, first-team All-Pro as a receiver, he was mostly known for his on-field antics.

Most notably he legally changed his name to Chad Ochocinco to represent the two numbers on his jersey (8 and 5). He had a number of creative touchdown celebrations including playing golf with a pylon, putting on a Hall of Fame jacket and holding up a "Please don't fine me again" sign.

But some may not remember that Johnson was also a great kicker: He only had a few opportunities in the NFL to showcase his kicking skills, but he looked like he could have been a legitimate placekicker in the NFL. Here he is in 2009 kicking an extra point in a preseason game.

He also handled the kickoff in that game, launching the ball to the 9-yard line.

“I went out there and did what I do. I just kicked," Johnson said at the time. "Everyone has to remember, I’ve always said that soccer is my No. 1 sport. I think Ronaldinho would be proud of me right now.”

Johnson briefly played semi-professional soccer as well, joining Boca Raton FC in March of last year.

When announcing that he'll be trying out for the XFL, Johnson added on Twitter that he hopes this opportunity could potentially lead to an NFL job.

Dolphins making changes to coaching staff after first year

Dolphins making changes to coaching staff after first year The Miami Dolphins struggles on offense and defense in Brian Flores’ first season has apparently cost some assistants their jobs. According to a league source, offensive coordinator Chad O’Shea has been fired after one season, and offensive line coach Dave DeGuglielmo and safeties coach Tony Oden won’t have their contracts renewed. It’s possible that O’Shea, DeGuglielmo and Oden won’t be the only members of Flores coaching staff changed following Miami’s 5-11 season, which featured the offense and defense struggling for most of the season.Oden was one of the few holdovers from Adam Gase’s coaching staff.

Chad Johnson has been out of football for one year and has legal issues that have further dimmed his free-agent value. But at 35, the former star wideout I'm at the bottom again, like having to prove myself when I first came in (to the NFL ) and I was hungry. I got complacent at some point in my career.

My second part of my "Non- Kickers Kicking" series. This part includes Pat Mcafee, Mike Scifres, Jeff Heath, and Kamu Grugier-Hill. Please note that field goals and extra points from Ndamukong Suh, Wes Welker, and Chad Johnson are in part 1, so they aren't in this part.

Johnson is 42 years old, so a return to the NFL isn't too far-fetched, although it would be quite a surprise. We've seen plenty of 40-year-old kickers in the NFL before, including current Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri who is 47. But before we get too far ahead of ourselves, we need to realize that Johnson stills needs to do well in the workout next week.
